How far in advance do I need to book?

It depends on the month in which you’re getting married, but generally you should book at least a year before your wedding date, and at least 14 months if you need Save the Dates too.

 

What is your design process?

You will share with me your venue location, your color palette, your Pinterest board, your mood board, your favorite flowers, your favorite Succession character, your favorite bird, your favorite quote…all the things that makes your heart sing and also some of the things that don’t.

Then I will take a very deep dive into your Pinterest/mood board, peruse Google images and maps, and return with a concept sketch of the design in a PDF. Once approved, I bring out the paints and brushes and after several weeks or so, you’ll receive a fully fleshed out design to review in a PDF.

You’ll have 2 rounds revisions if necessary to ensure the suite is perfect.

In all the process takes 2 to 3 months for full suites, and 1 to 2 months for Save the Dates.


How much time do you need to create a custom suite for me?

3 to 5 months, depending on complexity of design and number of revisions

  • The Design Phase takes between 2 to 3 months.

  • The Production Phase takes at least 1 month.

  • The Assembly Phase takes another 2 to 3 weeks, which may include hand addressing envelopes and affixing multiple stamps.

My wedding is on the beach, but I want my invites to look as non-beachy as possible. Is this weird?

Not at all! It’s awesome! Coming up with something beyond the “obvious” is the whole point of going custom. Most recently I incorporated leopards for a wedding on the Amalfi coast. Last I checked there are no native leopards roaming the Amalfi coast. They do, however, have special meaning to the couple, and that is what matters. So throw all your fanciful ideas at me and I’ll come up with a design that complements your wedding location, while being personal and meaningful to you as a couple.


I live outside the US. Can we still work together?

Sure can!


My wedding is small, but I would still love a custom suite. I need only 30. Is the turnaround time faster?

The turnaround time is the same whether for 30 suites or 300. Since I will still be creating custom work from scratch - and it is just me! - the Design time will be a constant at 2 to 3 months.


Can you create day-of materials like Menus and Programs?

Of course! I offer this service to all clients who hire me to produce their invitation suite. We begin the Design for day-of materials about 2 months before your wedding day.


I’d like to use the monogram you created for sundries like napkins and cocktail stirrers. May I?

Yes! I can provide parts of the artwork from your suite for you to order other wedding day goodies. There will be a personal licensing fee for each art file.


I am working with another stationer, but we’d like to use you for the artwork. Is this possible?

In most cases, yes! In this case your stationer will act as the “creative director” and I will work closely with her to ensure a seamless workflow and quality results.


How do I book?

I require a 70% retainer to reserve your time in my design calendar. All remaining payments are due before we go to print.
